Knowledge to Knowhow -10

Sales in a nutshell; It is the process of persuading the relevant customer to purchase a product or service.

In my last article, I focused on marketing by mentioning that marketing and sales are very different but very complementary functions. Today, if you excuse me, I will share my ideas for the sales process.

Sales in a nutshell; It is the process of persuading the relevant customer to purchase a product or service.

Important issues for the sales process and those who will manage it;

1. Knowledge - impressive product and market knowledge:
First of all, this is very important for self-confidence😊 Every member of the sales team should know their product and all its competitors in great detail.

2. Effective communication/relationship management with customers: Sales teams must have the ability to communicate with people in many different styles. This requires a lot of "flexibility". It is very important for the customer to feel what kind of person he is from the choice of clothes, the questions he asks, and the time management and to communicate correctly according to him.

3. Active Listening: In a training I attended, we talked with data on how critical it is to leave 40%-50% time to the customer in each sales call. Customers also want “dialogue”. In addition, it is possible to understand the needs only by listening.

4. Needs analysis: Sales has become much more tailor-made now… It is very important to understand the needs of each customer and plan a personalized activity accordingly.

5. Presentation techniques: To be able to effectively explain the features and benefits of the product in line with the needs of the customer.

6. Objection removal: Even if you have the best product in the world, there will always be issues that our customer will object to or disagree with. How to deal with them should be clear before the interview.

7. Close of sale: This does not always have to be a sale. It can be to try the product even once, to eliminate an important objection, in short, we can define it as taking at least 1 step to reach the targeted point at the very beginning of the sales process.

8. Follow-up: Acquiring a new customer is always a much more difficult and costly process than retaining an existing customer… Therefore, it is important to stay in constant communication with our product in order to maintain the satisfaction of satisfied customers in the sales process.

An effective sales process and the level of knowledge, personal communication skills and endurance of the sales person who will manage it must be very strong. I think that people with sales skills have special gifts, because this is a process where it is not easy or even possible for everyone to be successful in my opinion. On this occasion, I would like to congratulate all successful sales teams here👏🏻👏🏻🍀🙏🏻( the flowers in the image are for them😊)

I worked as a sales specialist in the first 1.5 years of my business life… I personally enjoyed it a lot, it was a very instructive period… Then I had the opportunity to see that the sales processes in different sectors are quite different… However, the main topics above are more or less the same for everyone…

This is what I was able to gather😊 If you have any additional comments, please add them.
